Updated: May 11, 2022

Smackdown Opener; Non-Title Singles Match; Ryan Lucas vs TJ Ivers

The match starts off hot from the very beginning, with the King of the Mountain Champion seemingly in different spirits than usual, clearly very upset still that he took the pinfall on Monday night against George in the tag team match. As soon as the bell rings, Lucas runs in and starts pounding away with all his frustration on The Steele! Lucas picks up Steele and proceeds to slam his head off the top turnbuckle of each corner, finishing him off with a spinebuster followed up with an elbow drop off the ropes! Eventually though as Lucas tries to go up one too many times off the ropes, The Steele gets an advantage by hitting Lucas with a diving shoulder tackle. TJ starts to control the early half of the match hitting his series of signature moves including a spinning back-elbow, side slam, and a couple of big lariats leading to a near fall.

TJ looks to finished the job with a chokeslam on the King of the Mountain Champion in short order, but Lucas breaks free and hits a series of kicks and a block to the knee to stagger Ivers. Lucas gets a nearfall after a spike DDT into the mat when TJ is on his knees. Lucas once again goes high risk and up tot he top rope, aiming for a long frog splash...but right in the knick of time, TJ gets his knees up to break the frog splash! Lucas rises in pain and starts pounding his fists on the mat, clearly being very upset that after a devastating loss against one of his opponents on RAW, he is still unable to shut the door on another one of his opponents tonight.

With Lucas staggering side to side TN looks to end things with a Carbon Footprint but the former KOTM Champion ducks it and pushes TJ over the top rope.

Lucas keeps the pressure and with a suicide dive, lands directly on a reeling TJ Ivers outside the ring! Lucas quickly returns to the apron and grabs TJ for a Tornado DDT to the floor, as commentary sells the brutal shot to the head of TJ and his resilience to keep going on, citing the several legendary death matches he has been a part of. TJ's head starts to bleed from the top as Lucas struggles to get the solid steel of a man back in the ring, and by the time he moves the over 200 pounds of dead weight back into the ring, he can only score a one count. Lucas throws his head back in frustration and just stares up at the lights, having no idea what he needs to do to close the book on his opponent he will meet again in just 2 days at Backlash!

Lucas continues to be relentless as he struggles back up to his feet and starts screaming for TJ to get back up to his feet, motioning for his signature Stoner Stunner! But as soon as TJ gets back up onto his feet, a raging Robbie Casey comes jumping over the barricade and into the ring hitting an RKO on both Ryan Lucas and TJ Steele out of nowhere!!!!

The Bionic Redneck looks like an absolute war machine pacing back and forth in the ring and screaming down at his two victims in the center! The referee screams for the timekeeper to ring the bell for a double disqualification. But just as Robbie is picking Lucas back up onto his knees to possibly hit another one, the lights in the arena go out and red blood starts to pour down on all three men in the center of the ring. A loud maniacal laugh echoes through the PA of the speakers and George Amuah-Niamkey is straddling the 15 foot high steel cage as it slowly starts to come down to the ring! Robbie's wide eyes look up to see George at the top of the steel cage, leaping off in dramatic fashion with a diving crossbody right on top of Robbie Casey!!!!

"Did you just see that?!? George came diving off the top of that steel cage AS IT WAS STILL COMING DOWN!!!" - Mike Tenay

George slowly struggles up to his feet with a sick and twisted smile on his face, picking up both Ryan Lucas and TJ Ivers, slamming their heads together and then bouncing both their heads off the solid steel cage!!! But just as George's back is turned dealing with Lucas and TJ, Robbie comes out of nowhere, kicks George and then proceeds to throw him THROUGH THE STEEL CAGE CRASHING TO THE OUTSIDE!!!! With incredible force George was thrown THROUGH THE STEEL CAGE!! George is completely out! Lucas is out! TJ is out! And with a side step a struggling beaten down Robbie Casey staggers a couple steps and then just collapses as well in the center of the blood red covered ring.

Cameras focus in on the destruction inside the ring and bodies laying every which way, as well as zooming in on an unconscious George Amuah-Niamkey outside of the ring still laying on top of the one side of steel cage. Commentary continues to sell the carnage in what just happened and how these men might just kill each other in 2 days at Backlash in the steel cage match for the King of the Mountain Championship!

Backstage Segment; "I'm Going To Show The World And YOU What A Real Beating Looks Like"

Cameras come back from the commercial break to show Austin Michael Pieper pacing back and forth backstage in the locker room with a very cold and solemn Jerry Haynes who just stands there clinching onto his WWEP Intercontinental Championship belt over his shoulder. Commentary for a few seconds before Austin starts talking builds up the huge victory over Matt that Jerry got on Monday and how unhinged that Austin looks after seeing Jerry do something that he wasn't able to do at Wrestlemania. Austin not in a threatening manner, but in a very passive aggressive manner starts to talk down to Jerry about what he did on Monday night and for trying to "put the focus on him". Austin reiterates how important it is FOR THE BROTHERHOOD this Sunday at Backlash to regain the WWEP Undisputed World Heavyweight Championship.

"I know it's...kind of hard for someone like you to understand...but the Brotherhood NEEDS me to be the Undisputed Champion." - Austin Michael Pieper

Austin pauses for a second and then shakes his head "psh"ing.

"And honestly this Sunday night...it's not going to be like that match this past Monday night. HONESTLYYYYY the match was just a litttttle too close on RAW, if I'm being frank. Someone in the Brotherhood and who has been under MY mentorship...I would expect to them to have taken care of business just a litttttle bit more decisively. You kn.." - Austin Michael Pieper

Jerry interrupts him mid sentence and leans in even closer to his face.

"I beat the champion on Monday night. I beat him..." - Jerry Haynes

"No no no I'm not saying anything bad about what you did this Monday night! I understand bro. You did. You beat the champion. That was a hell of a job." - Austin Michael PIeper

Austin leans in and hugs Jerry with the camera zooming in for a close up shot of his face that just oozes with insincerity. Jerry doesn't say a word and just stands there as Austin hugs him.

"I'm proud of you. I really am." - Austin Michael Pieper

Austin slowly pulls away the hug from Jerry and tells him with a devious smile how tonight he is going to go out and show him and the rest of the world what a REAL BEATING looks like. Austin thanks Jerry for softening Matt up and tells him to watch his match later tonight, because he promises that what he sees in that ring will be the single most decisive and dominating finish he has ever seen.

"So Jerrrryyyy.....I've got to get ready for my match. You know, well, you know where the door is. Please don't shut it too hard, this is MY EXCLUSIVE locker room. Thanks Jerry...thanks Jerry...thank you." - Austin Michael Pieper

Jerry slowly goes to walk out the door just staring at a very confident (almost cocky) Austin.

"You did a great job, Jerry. Couldn't have done it bett...well, (chuckles) you did a great job, Jerry!" - Austin Michael Pieper

Austin says that the match was way too close on RAW and Jerry should’ve taken care of business a little bit more decisively, Jerry stands by that he beat the champion, Austin says “I understand bro. You did. You beat the champion. That was a hell of a job” Austin hugs Jerry and tells him that he is going out there tonight and is gonna show him and the rest of the world what a real beating looks like

"We Are Here To Bury You"

The scene opens up in a dark graveyard with smoke slowly filtering up from the ground.

"It's been a long time since we've been back here. Nobody wanted us to come back here. But Steve...Brady...this is on the both of you." - Darren Cox Jr

"You two brought us back here." - Darren Cox Sr

"And since you two are the ones that brought us back here...you're the one that's gonna have to pay. Sunday is Backlash, Steve. Your day of reckoning. You know, as I look around this place...it's filled with souls that I've laid to rest." - Darren Cox Jr

"That we've laid to rest.." - Darren Cox Sr

"But all these poor unfortunate souls Steve they have one thing in common...not one of them, NOT ONE SINGLE PERSON has ever threatened our legacy in this sport. Not one single person has ever done to my father and done to me what the two of you have. As I had blood run down my face on Monday night, I had an ephiphany Steve. I knew that we had to put it all on the line and we had to dig DEEP DOWN INSIDE OF US to pull out a violence that nobody has ever seen before." - Darren Cox Jr

"Steve...Brady......when you mess with MY BOY, YOU MESS....WITH ME. These shovels right here are going to BURY you and yours. My boy Darren....we don't want to make it into the Hall of Fame next year. No no no. WE WANT TO TAKE YOUR HALL OF FAME! WE WANT TO BURY YOURRRRR HALL OF FAME. STEVE.....BRADY.....WE ARE TAKING YOUR HALL OF FAME!" - Darren Cox Sr

"You see that's the thing Steve...it didn't have to be like this. It didn't have to come to this. We were willing to spare your souls for a match, BUT NOT NOW." - Darren Cox Jr

Darren slowly starts circling a grave with a shovel in his hand, just staring down at the grave with a sick and twisted smile on his face.

"You know Steve, it's almost a shame to desigrate this land with your and Brady's rotten souls. You say that you're going to kill the legacy of. YOU CAN'T KILL WHAT HAS ALREADY BEEN RESURRECTED STEVE! YOU AND BRADY DESERVE...(shovels a piece of dirt into the grave)...EVERY....(shovels another piece of dirt into the grave)...SINGLE....(shovels an additional piece of dirt into the grave)...THING....THAT YOU GET! I feel like I need to inform the both of you that this Sunday night at Backlash, you are in for the most brutal, violent, destructive, vicious evening of your lives." - Darren Cox Jr

Darren Cox Sr drives the shovel down as hard as he can into the spot next to the grave with the shovel standing upright.

"And it's only going to stop when I wrap these hands around the both of your necks and choke the life out of the both of you!" - Darren Cox Jr

"You will be sorry..." - Darren Cox Sr

"Heh, when I pick you both up into these arms and drop you into this grave. And as the two of you are laying there...staring up at us....HOPING FOR FORGIVENESS...AND BEGGING FOR MERCY....all we've have for you two...." - Darren Cox Jr

The camera shows the grave and Darren starts shoveling big piece of dirt into the grave filling it up.

"...are SHOVELS.....OF....DIRT." - Darren Cox Jr

The camera pans up out of the grave and slowly focuses in on a tombstone with Steve Steigerwald and Brady Steigerwald's names on it and their day of resting to be May 8, 2022.

Main Event; Austin Michael Pieper vs Jeffrey Willis

This match clearly is nothing but a glorified squash match for an overly boastful and arrogant Austin Michael Pieper. Throughout the entire match, Austin struts around the ring just having his way with the young enhancement talent from Des Moines, Iowa. Austin picks up Jeffrey several times and immediately just drops him down with big power moves through out, including a devastating sit out piledriver that looks to completely take his head off! Austin slowly stands back up to his feet and just continues to press his foot against the head of the defenseless rookie. Commentary builds up how twisted Austin has been since Wrestlemania, and that this is clearly just a way for him to humiliate this young man and also show the world that he is more dominant than anyone else in this industry, INCLUDING HIS BROTHERHOOD BROTHERS. Austin laughs just kicking the head of the rookie several times, setting him up for his devastating Cin City Driver.

But just as Austin looks to finally be putting the final touches on this beating, the WWEP Undisputed World Heavyweight Champion Matt Charles slowly walks out onto the stage and halfway down the ramp with a smug smile of his own clinching tightly to his Undisputed Championship belt. Austin immediately turns his attention to the champion and his opponent in just two days, now looking like he could jump out of the ring and rip the champion apart. Austin screams for Matt to watch this and prepare for what's going to happen in two days, but Matt just stands there chuckling to himself and staring back down at the #1 contender.

Finally, Austin leans over the top rope and screams for Matt to get into the ring and fight him right now! Matt starts to walk even closer down to the ring, acting as if he is going to take Austin up on his offer, which gets a huge ovation from the crowd. Once Matt reaches the bottom of the ramp next to the ring, he looks back and forth acting as if he is going to jump into the ring right now. But as the referee's head is turned checking on a still very hurt Jeffrey Willis, Austin is leaning through the middle rope trying to grab at the champion, but Matt grabs onto his title belt and slams it over the top of the head of the #1 contender!!! Austin falls back like a ton of bricks, completely wiped out from that head shot. On the other side of the ring, Jeffrey slowly starts to make his way back up to his feet. The referee confused sees Austin laying flat on his back out cold from that head shot. The referee starts screaming at Matt asking if he did anything, which Matt holds up his hands and defends the claim that he didn't do anything. Jeffrey bounces off the ropes and with his one defining and star making moment hits a rolling thunder on the #1 contender!!! BAM!

"Rolling thunder! Is he about to pick up a win over the #1 contender?!" - Mike Tenay

"You have got to be kidding me!" - Ben Davis

The young rookie covers Austin and the referee starts to make his count, 1...2.....3.!!!! Jeffrey wins! Jeffrey wins! The rookie from Des Moines Iowa has just beaten Hall of Famer Austin Michael Pieper! The crowd goes absolutely nuts at the upset of the century as Matt just stands there clapping for the rookie and laughing at Austin losing once again! The young man jumps up on each turnbuckle celebrating with the crowd before jumping out of the ring and hugging an extremely pleased Matt Charles. Matt and the young man celebrate on the ramp and with the crowd on the sides as Austin slowly staggers back up to his feet in the ring, slowly starting to come to the realization of what just happened. Austin holds his forehead and looks around confused, making eye contact back with his opponent at Backlash. Austin clinches his fists in anger and looks as if he is going to explode, screaming at what just happened and how he was blindsided by Matt! Austin stares Matt down intensely from the ring while screaming "JERRY!!! TJ!!!! WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU??!"

Matt with a smirk sarcastically throws up the Brotherhood fist with one hand and holds up the title belt in the other hand as cameras come to a close and commentary sells the shock of what just happened...and how Austin still didn't prove to Jerry that he could dominate.
