MONDAY NIGHT RAW PREVIEW - May 2, 2022

The dust has settled and the "Panama City Playboy" Matt Charles is STILL the WWEP Undisputed World Heavyweight Champion after a brutal title defense against Chuck Nimmo. But after Charles sent Nimmo packing finally slaying the beast that came into his life 3 years ago, the former champion waits in the graces for the the championship he believes he never should've lost. The CinCity Dark Angel came out at the end of Matt's brutal title defense on Smackdown with a soft golf clap, but many doubt his sincerity as he has clearly been on another mindset since he lost the belt at Wrestlemania. Pieper promised that he would walk out of Wrestlemania Backlash as the champion once again or that nobody else would be walking out PERIOD. But not only is Austin's mind on the champion, but his mind also has to be on what many believe to be the shattering from within for The Brotherhood. Austin has demanded that Brotherhood members Jerry Haynes and TJ Ivers never leave his side again in his quest at reclaiming the belt, but with all the tension in the Brotherhood as we speak, many question if this truly can be fulfilled with the temperment of both TJ Ivers and the Intercontinental Champion, Jerry Haynes. Jerry Haynes has taken it upon himself to challenge the world champion just 6 days before his marquee match against Austin, and if Jerry is able to come out victorious on Monday and Austin isn't on Sunday...one can wonder if Jerry will think of himself as being more worthy a number one contender for the richest prize in our business. Will Austin return the favor and be in Jerry's side tomorrow night in his battle against the champion, or is this alliance a one way street?

Speaking of TJ Ivers though, the WWEP King of the Mountain Championship debacle is an absolute chaotic dumpster fire right now in every way possible...one that can only be decided inside of a 15 foot high solid steel cage! "The Steele" TJ Ivers and "The Bionic Redneck" Robbie Casey have been on a collision course search for blood since Wrestlemania, and this past Friday night was no different! With Ryan Lucas needing a new number one contender for his belt, both men were booked in a wrestling match to decide who that number one contender would be...but neither man were interested in a wrestling match. THEY WANTED A FIGHT! And both of them ended up in an all out war with the King of the Mountain Champion, without any one hand being raised as the new number one contender! It was announced that the "Orange County Bro" Ryan Lucas would be defending his title against both of them at Wrestlemania Backlash, but the plot only thickened more! "The King of YEET" George Amuah-Niamkey decided he wanted to throw his name in the hat as well, and with as crazy as George is, he could very well walk out of Wrestlemania Backlash the new King of the Mountain Champion! Tonight on RAW, all four men will get their own dose of what is in store for them in six days...and they will be forced to co-exist at least in some sort of way. "The Steele" TJ Ivers will be teaming up with George Amuah-Niamkey to take on the King of the Mountain Champion Ryan Lucas and "The Bionic Redneck" Robbie Casey in tag team action! Can these two teams co-exist and what extra added layer will be thrown into the fire this week to make the steel cage title match even more reckless??

The heat is boiling over more than it ever has before for "The Phenom" Darren Cox and his father Darren Cox Sr. We have never seen an alliance as strong as the one between The Phenom and his father going into this Sunday night. Cox Sr said that he would do whatever he had to do to itch both their names into the Hall of Fame, and that they would take out all hall of famers in their path to do so. But big Steve Steigerwald and The Bard are not ready to give up their own throne after unloading a vicious assault on Darren Cox Sr last Monday night! Darren Cox Jr has demanded to get his hands on Big Steve a little bit earlier, and the match has been set in stone for tonight's Monday Night RAW! The Phenom will be in singles action against Steve Steigerwald, but with their respective families in their corner...we can all assume that all hell might break loose before we even get to Wrestlemania Backlash next Sunday night! Will they be able to even survive leading into this Sunday night?

After Ben Geraci officially accepted the redemption tour challenge, T-Dog immediately hopped on Twitter and announced that he would be in Greensboro, North Carolina for MONDAY NIGHT RAW! Geraci has been on an absolute roll since Wrestlemania and his new attitude is giving him an unprecedented confidence that we have never seen in him to this date. The Long Island Capo isn't holding back anything and is ready to throw the kitchen sink and everything else at his opponent this Sunday night, but with the skill and mastermind of T-Dog laying in the waits, one has to wonder if Geraci will even make it to Wrestlemania Backlash. T-Dog has a long history of never letting his opponent one up him and with his promise to be at Monday Night RAW tonight, does he have a trick up his sleeve that Geraci isn't ready for yet?
