Smackdown Opener; Issues The Challenge

Cameras open up backstage to show Ashley Cox rocking back and forth in a catatonic psychotic state. It's been so long since this rivalry has begun. It's all but a matter of time before something bad happens.

*Knock knock*

Backstage interviewer Charly Caruso sneaks into the room to try and catch a word with Ashley Cox. But Ashley immediately breaks focus and stares with wide eyes at Caruso.

"Thank you so much for speaking with me Ashley. I just have one question. How do you feel about R-J-Staggs being his own self again? What are you gonna do if you two can't get along? How will you two manage to be civil?" - Charly Caruso

"Shut the hell up! You're more annoying then Tony Murr talking about how he was gonna beat me. Stop asking questions because you're wasting my time. As for Ryan Steigerwald...

I'm so tired of you not accepting the fact that you'll never be who used to be." - Ashley Cox

"But he is the..." - Charly Caruso

"Didn't I tell you to shut up? Ahem. So with that being said, I propose a way to end all of this. At Clash of Champions, you versus me. If I win, you have to bow down and accept the fact you were nothing and never will be." - Ashley Cox

Ashley holds her head up with an arrogant smile on her face.

"*clears throat* And if for some reason you win, I will give you what you want. I'll admit I need you two phonies. But I doubt you win. You have a title match already and would be too big of a nirch to accept anyways. I'll be surprised if you do quite honestly. But I'll give you the benefit of the doubt." - Ashley Cox

Ashley snatches the microphone out of Charly's hand and pushes her out of the camera shot, staring deep into the camera lens with intensity.

"You have until the night before a clash of champions to respond. But either way, the Wendigo Queen will get what she wants! (Evil laugh)" - Ashley Cox

Ashley drops the microphone and stares at Charly like a demon. Charly Caruso slowly picks the microphone back up off the ground and runs for safety as Ashley just stands there with a sadistic look on her face, nodding her head "yes" and breathing heavily.

Backstage Interview; The Challenge Has Been Met

Cameras slowly pan up to show backstage interviewer Dennis Arnell standing alongside the World Heavyweight Championship #1 contender, RJ Stagg. Stagg looks at Arnell with his signature smug smile on his face, chewing gum and stretching his arms.

"After what we witnessed on Monday night between you and Ashley Cox, as well as the challenge that was just laid down a little bit ago, I think we all are curious to know if you acc..." - Dennis Arnell

"Give me the mic and step over there so you can play with yourself some more." - RJ Stagg

RJ Stagg directs his attention to the camera, staring deep into the lens.

"You want to fight me, dummy? You want me to bow down? You want R-J-STAGG to bow down to The Wendigo Queen?? Nu uh! Ha." - RJ Stagg

Stagg clears his throat and tilts his head back and forth a few times.

"You want to fight me, you're playing by my rules. I want to fight Ashley Cox. No make-up, no spooky music, no creepy entrances. That nonsense may have worked on a cross eyed half-twit like Tony Murr, but not me! I've got a World Championship match later that night and I'm not jeopardizing that by getting into a scrap with...that. If you want Ashley Cox vs. RJ Stagg to pull off another instant classic at Clash of Champions, then the Wendigo Queen is gonna have to be left in her tee-pee, dummy! YEAH! And when I win, Im gonna hold a microphone up to your mouth and you're gonna say "I need RJ Stagg. I need Darren Cox. And I need The Kingdom". That's my price. If I lose, I'll bow down, but if you lose, you admit you need me!" - RJ Stagg

Stagg rips his sunglasses off his face, clearly getting more intense and serious in his tirade against Ashley Cox.

"But like I said, your ego probably won't allow you to say those words. Even if I win. Your ego doesn't allow you to adapt! Mine does! And I'm calling that now!

And if you say it, I win. And if you don't? I also win.

And that ain't an insult, that's just a fact of life!" - RJ Stagg

Stagg dangles the microphone in front of the scared and embarrassed Dennis Arnell after accepting the challenge.

"Hey dummy, you can come get your sex toy back. I don't even want to know what you do with this thing, you sick freak! YEAH!" - RJ Stagg

Stagg struts off the scene in iconic fashion as Arnell just stands there holding the microphone and shaking his head.

Non Title Match; Austin Michael Pieper vs "The Returning" Colin Burney

After being announced earlier in the night by Stacy Bryan that Austin Pieper would have a challenger he has never faced before, the entire WWEP universe speculated who this challenge might be. The Returning Colin Burney surely didn't disappoint with a huge pop from the crowd once his music hit. In the beginning of the match, it looked like Burney might be building up some steam for another run in WWEP against an established champion. But after Pieper was able to gain a better understanding of Burney's offense, he soon was able to dominate the rest of the match. Throughout the match commentary builds up how strong of a champion Austin Pieper is, and how he has proven week in and week out what hard work and determination can do in not just this sport, but anything whatsoever. At one point it looked like Burney was gonna be able to roll Pieper up into a small package, but the formidable champion was able to quickly kick out at the count of two and counter with a running big boot to the face to completely wipe him out. Burney didn't look to stand much of a chance after that, finally getting put away when Austin Pieper was able to connect with a CinCity Driver!

After the match was over, Austin Michael Pieper grabbed his Universal Championship from the ring announcer and continued to celebrate as Byron Saxton jogged down to the ring with a microphone in his hand. Pieper picked Burney up off the mat and shook his hand while whispering into his ear, "good match, good match." Byron straightens his suit once he gets into the ring and asks to catch a quick word with the Universal Champion. Pieper nods at Saxton.

"First off, I just want to say congratulations on a very impressive win tonight over the returning Colin Burney. It is still unknown whether he will continue his efforts here in WWEP or not, but I think the questions that have all been burning in our minds is the uncertainty about your huge WWEP Universal Championship match against Darren Cox in just a few weeks at Clash of the Champions. Now Darren Cox has mentioned that he has no personal beef with you, and that it's all about the Universal Championship. But how do you feel going into this big title match against a man who at one time was very dominant and is looking to reclaim his throne? Do you feel at all nervous since this is your first real title defense on such a grand scale? How are you preparing for someone as strong as Darren Cox?" - Byron Saxon

"I don’t have any personal beef with Darren either to be honest with you, but I was extremely surprised he won the #1 contenders match. *looks at Byron with a confused look on his face* I’m not sure when he was so dominant, cause since I’ve joined the company he’s done a whole lot of nothing. Christian and I actually won our first tag team titles against him and Staggs so I’ve been in the ring with him before, but I believe this is the first time we’ll be one on one against each other. As for nerves, jitters, and anything else... I have no more nerves than usual going into my first title defense against Darren, and I’m not preparing any different. And that’s in no way disrespect towards Darren Cox, but I prepare for every match, every title defense no matter the title with the same intensity. I’m excited for our match at Clash of Champions and I can’t think of a more intriguing match for my first defense." - Austin Michael Pieper

"Ha wow. Definitely some strong words. I mean are you at all nervous about the possible presence of his wife Ashley Cox and best friend RJ Stagg at ringside during this match? Do you think you can defeat odds like that going into your first title defense? And if so, are you going to have your Brotherhood brothers at ringside for you as well?" - Byron Saxton

"Puhhhhleeeeze. Ashley and Staggs can’t even get along, ha ha! They’ve got a match against each other that same night, and Staggs has his own title match to prepare for, he’s not worried about me right now...and I’m not worried about them. The fact of the matter is this, if Ashley and Staggs are for some reason at ringside...I’m sure Adam and Christian will come down and have my back as well. George is unfortunately still in the hospital and won’t be able to make the show, but as much as I love my brothers, I won the title without them at ringside...and I can defend it without them there as well. And the same goes for Adam in his KOTM title match. I will be no where near that ring for his match because I know he can handle his own against Cody Miller." - Austin Michael Pieper

"Ladies and gentlemen, please give another resounding ovation for your WWEP Universal Champion, Austin Michael Pieper!" - Byron Saxton

Austin snatches the microphone out of Byron's hand and rallies up the crowd behind him. Austin stares into the camera as he shakes with emotion.

"Not only will Adam and I defend our titles....but we will ALSO leave as your WWEP Tag Team World Tag Team Champions! The Brotherhood Takeover HAS ONLY JUST BEGUN!!" - Austin Michael Pieper

Austin throws the microphone down and plays to the cheering crowd, but after just a few moments the lights in the arena go completely out. A loud DONG is heard echoing throughout the entire arena as Austin stands in the center of the ring with a confused look on his face. A few more dongs are heard before The lights come back on suddenly to show the WWEP Universal Championship #1 Contender, Darren Cox standing in his signature trench coat and black hat staring deep into Austin's eyes. The lights dim back down to a cold and dark blue. Austin shakes his head and goes to the leave the ring, but Cox throws his arm up in the air and quickly throws it down with all his might causing a bolt of lightning to strike the ropes and catch them on fire! Austin jumps back to avoid the flames and he stares back at Darren Cox who remains just standing motionless in the center of the ring. Cox throws the black hat off his head and looks at Pieper with a sadistic stare and does the "throat cut" signature at Pieper.

Smackdown ends with the two staring each other down and the ropes continue to burn with flames and commentary selling the shock of what is happening, while building the huge title match at Clash of the Champions.
