Austin PIeper was the true underdog going into the Summerslam main event with two former Universal Champions biting at the bit, and with all the odds stacked against him, he proved that dreams really can come true by becoming the WWEP Universal Champion and solidifying himself on top of the mountain.

In the strangest turn of events and what many are considering the biggest upset in professional wrestling history, Austin Michael Pieper was crowned the new Universal Champion this past Sunday in Toronto at Summerslam! Pieper made no bones about knowing that he now has the biggest target ever on his back right now, but he is not by any means standing down.

“I told you all I was walking out of Summerslam as the Universal Champion. I've gladly accepted this target on my back, BRING IT.” - Austin Michael Pieper

Pieper had an extraordinary year in 2018, and 2019 is shaping up to be his most legendary year yet. Pieper cashed in his Option C clause to insert himself into the match to begin with, and after much controversy, he was able to walk out of Summerslam the Universal Champion. Pieper had been viciously attacked just one week prior to Summerslam by Prestige member, Cody Miller with a devastating spear going through the commentary table. But Pieper would not let that stop him, and he refused to stay down. With Pieper's win at Summerslam and fellow Brotherhood member Adam Stewart currently holding the King of the Mountain Championship, it is intriguing to think that Stewart could very well choose to cash in his option C clause as well to take the WWEP World Heavyweight Championship belt.
